What's stored on your device

Last updated: 2026-08-16

pdfmundo sets no cookies and does no tracking.
pdfmundo, operated by ADVAITA OÜ, stores three things in your browser so the tools work — a licence key, a file you drop, and OCR language models. All three stay on your device and are never uploaded to us. The only cookies that may appear are Cloudflare's security cookies, described below.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. They are used for a wide range of purposes — from keeping you logged in, to tracking you across websites for advertising.

pdfmundo sets no cookies of any kind. The only cookies that may appear on the domain are Cloudflare's security cookies, described below.

What Cookies May Appear

The only cookies that may appear on pdfmundo are strictly necessary security cookies set by our CDN provider, Cloudflare. These are not used for tracking and cannot be disabled without breaking the security of the Service.

CookiePurposeDurationSet by

These cookies are HttpOnly (not accessible to JavaScript on the page), are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and are exempt from consent requirements under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (strictly necessary cookies).

Our paid tiers are powered by Lemon Squeezy. When you open the checkout, Lemon Squeezy's script loads from app.lemonsqueezy.com and may set strictly necessary session cookies for the payment flow. Those cookies are set by Lemon Squeezy, not by pdfmundo, and are governed by Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy.

What we store on your device

Your files are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to us. Storing a few things on your device is how that works — it is what lets the tool you pick open the file you dropped, with no round trip to a server. Everything below is first-party, stays on your device, is written only when you do the thing that needs it, and is never sent to us.

Your licence key, plan, expiry and any remaining credits, so the site remembers your plan. First-party, never sent to us, not used for tracking. Strictly necessary.Only if you activate a paid planWhen you clear your browser's site data

The OCR language model (about 10–15 MB), kept so it doesn't have to download again. No personal data, and it comes from our own site.Only if you use an OCR toolWhen you clear your browser's site data

Consent and the ePrivacy Directive

Article 5(3) of the EU ePrivacy Directive governs storing information on your device, whether or not it is a cookie. So that you can judge it yourself, here is the basis for each thing pdfmundo stores. pdfmundo sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. The licence key and the file hand-off are first-party and strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for. The OCR language model is a first-party local performance cache, kept so the same file does not download twice. The Cloudflare security cookies described above are strictly necessary. All of it stays on your device.

How to Clear Your Data

You can clear everything pdfmundo stores — the licence key, any held file, the OCR language models, and Cloudflare's security cookies — through your browser. Clearing the licence key signs you out of paid features on that device.

  • Chrome / Edge: DevTools (F12) → Application → Storage → Cookies, Local Storage and IndexedDB → pdfmundo.com
  • Firefox: DevTools (F12) → Storage → Cookies, Local Storage and Indexed DB → pdfmundo.com
  • Safari: Develop → Web Inspector → Storage → Cookies, Local Storage and Indexed DB → pdfmundo.com

Under Local Storage, the entry is pdfmundo:pro-key. Under IndexedDB there are two databases: pdfmundo-handoff (the held file) and keyval-store (the OCR language models — that generic name comes from the storage library we use, but the database is ours and it is on your device). Clearing site data for pdfmundo.com in your browser settings removes all of them at once.
